The churches of Stonehaven (Dunnottar, Fetteresso and St James) take it in turn to host the Remembrance Sunday service in November each year.
Led by the Royal British Legion, a company of civic, military and community group representatives including veterans march from the town square to the host church.
Following the service, the company return to the square before travelling the short distance to the Black Hill to place commemorative wreaths at the historic Stonehaven war memorial.
On the Sunday following Remembrance, a poppy wreath is placed in Dunnottar Church on the wooden panel inscribed with the names of men from the congregation who were tragically killed during World War One.
