We are looking for a new minister as a result of Rev Sarah Smith’s move to the parish of Fife: Forthview. Sarah had been with us for almost four years, beginning in COVID and ending in January 2025.
We are looking for a minister to lead us in our worship, in preaching the word of God, in sharing the pastoral work, in providing leadership in our spiritual growth and outreach in the Stonehaven area and to enable us to fulfil our aims and values. What we aim to achieve in the short to medium term is set out in the Congregational Action Plan which is an appendix to this profile. We have elected to “depart from tradition” and will consider all applications from ministers including those in civil partnerships and same sex marriages.
Our Mission Statement and Values state that we aim to be a visible, vibrant and loving congregation who spread the Word of God, support each other, and engage with the community. Worship/teaching is at the heart of all that we do. When you read our profile, we hope that you will get a sense of the enthusiasm and ambition of our congregation as we look to the future.
This is an exciting opportunity for a minister to lead us and help us develop, fully united in all we do, allowing us to provide ministry as appropriate to the different age groups and circumstances experienced within Stonehaven.
We hope that you will decide that this opportunity is for you.
